Halloween is Here!

The House of Erotica Witching Hour just came out, and it's getting me excited about the season!

Here's the blurb:

Inside you will find thirteen spooky erotic stories. From shapeshifters to wild nights with the dead there's a theme to suit everyone.

Stories from Victoria Blisse, Isabel Holley, Nicky Raven, Heather Lin, Vanessa de Sade, Gemma Parkes, Tilly Hunter, Lucy Felthouse, Elizabeth Black, Nephylim, Annabeth Leong and Daddy X.

The specifics of my story, "If I Ask":

Locked by accident overnight in the Cimetière de Montmartre, a man discovers much more than statues and cats. The spirits who linger there would happily feed on the vitality of the living, but, nursing a broken heart, the man will take any companionship he can get. He shares a bottle of wine with the ghost of a mysterious woman, and in the process becomes fascinated by her hunger. The man longs to feel wanted, and even when she warns that she can no longer give pleasure without causing pain, he wants to taste the depth of her need.

And a snip:

The door of a locked mausoleum swung slowly open and a pale woman emerged. Her shoulders shrugged up toward her ears. She wore a flowing dress and walked with an immensely self-conscious gait. "You're a handsome one," she said, and leaned toward me before I thought to defend myself.

Her mouth closed on mine in the most ravenous kiss I have ever received. Soft lips pressed against me, so cold that they seared, and a hard tongue thrust into my mouth. I didn't like the way it felt, but my body didn't seem to care what I thought. In seconds, my balls ached, full and heavy, and I moaned around that tongue as it reached nearly to the back of my throat. My hands came up as if on their own and were met by bony shoulders and fragile cloth.

Then she pushed me onto my back atop the monument and climbed astride my hips, ripping at my clothes with the desperation of the starving. No woman had ever moved this quickly with me, and I was stunned by the speed as much as by the cold sensations.

I could not help putting my arms around her, and at this she gave a satisfied little purr and everything changed. What had been pleasure began to sting like the pain of waking limbs. My body became heavier everywhere, and I couldn't feel my heart beating. Breath became impossible to find, and yet she never stopped kissing me, her mouth and lips the only things in the world that I could still feel.

I thought I would die, and I could not think clearly enough to know if I would mind. Before I ended, however, she pulled away, her eyes deep and bright and her pale skin now flushed with my life.

"What was that?" I shivered beneath her, the moldy marble monument cold against my back. Black hair that smelled of lilies tickled the spot beneath my nose.

"A kiss, love."

You can pick up the book here. Also, don't forget about my favorite Halloween book of last year, Coming Together: Hungry for Love. And finally, Run for Your Love, my erotic romance set against the backdrop of the zombie apocalypse, will be out this Friday.

Dear Kim

I've signed a contract with Circlet Press for Like a Chill Down Your Spine, a collection of erotic ghost stories. My contribution, "Dear Kim," is a multi-generational lesbian romance in which discoveries about the fate of lovers past increase the desire and desperation of lovers in the present.

Ghost Lovers and Brutal Pirates

Forbidden Fiction released The Three Wives of Bluebeard over the weekend -- it's a dark retelling of an already dark fairy tale, including hungry ghosts and a brutal pirate husband.

Here's an excerpt:

“Am I dreaming?” Mollena asked again.

“A little bit yes and a little bit no,” the woman said.

Mollena had forgotten about the light woman until she laughed. “Cecily is so enjoying being mysterious with you,” the light woman said. She, too, settled on the bed beside Mollena. The soft warmth from the two women’s bodies set off a fierce longing in Mollena. “I’m Francine. You are dreaming, but this is a true dream, and we are not figments of your imagination.”

“You live in this house?” Mollena asked.

“We used to,” Francine said.

“Now who’s being coy?” Cecily said. She flopped away from the group, rolling her eyes. “We still live here, in every way that matters.” Cecily’s delicate black eyebrow arched. “We live here body and soul.”

“Why don’t I see you when I’m awake?”

Francine stopped Cecily from answering and shushed Mollena with a soft, sweet kiss on the lips. She stroked her, slipping her hands into Mollena’s nightgown and caressing her breasts and sides. After a moment, Mollena surrendered to the sensation, letting her head press deep into the pillow and arching her back. “You want something, don’t you?” Francine said, giggling.

“Yes,” Mollena managed.

Francine’s fingers began to move along her belly, tickling and teasing as they went. But Cecily sighed loudly and trapped Francine’s wrist before the light woman could satisfy the desire that had begun to bud in Mollena. “Don’t distract her,” Cecily said. “Let her ask her question.” She turned to Mollena, easing Francine’s hands away in the process. “What was it you wanted to know, dear heart?”

“Do you live in some other part of the house?” Mollena said, looking from one to the other. “Why haven’t I seen you during the day?”

“You could look for us,” Cecily offered. “With all those keys, you’ll certainly find something.”

Francine scowled at the dark-haired woman. “Don’t tell her to do that. Why don’t you ask Bluebeard about us?”

“That idea’s no better,” Cecily said. “If you don’t want her to look for us, then I suppose you should just go on distracting her.”

Mollena shook her head. She couldn’t think clearly through the haze of the dream and the intoxicating presence of the two women. “I don’t understand,” she said. “Who are you?”

Francine smiled sadly at Mollena. “There’s no distracting her,” she told Cecily.

“Well, of course not,” Cecily said. “And you don’t really want her distracted. You want her to look for us, you just don’t want to admit it.” Cecily patted Mollena’s cheek. “You won’t have any trouble finding us if you want to, my sweet.”

Mollena tried to protest and ask more questions, but both women settled close to her, undoing her nightgown completely. Cecily nibbled Mollena’s left nipple, while Francine suckled at the right. Thought fled Mollena completely as the clarity of the dream dissolved into a sensual swirl.

The Three Wives of Bluebeard

The Bluebeard myth has always been one of my favorites. It's so vivid in my imagination: the gloom and emptiness of a rich, abandoned house; a secret that burns to be uncovered; the rage of the man who buried the secret.

I've done a retelling that will be coming out from Forbidden Fiction--my longest piece for them yet. It's a lesbian threesome ghost story (so exciting to write that description). It's called "The Three Wives of Bluebeard," and I'll post an excerpt and more details when they're available.
